Riding for a Sustainable Future
in the Sonoran Desert.
The 18th Annual
Britton Fund Ride
Tucson, Arizona – April 22, 2025
What an incredible ride and fundraising event!
On April 22, 2025—Earth Day—The Britton Fund rolled into action with our 18th Annual Ride at the WCISA Annual Conference and Tradeshow in sunny Tucson, Arizona.
With perfect weather and smooth roads beneath our wheels, we pedaled through the beauty of the Sonoran Desert, climbed steadily toward the skies of Mt. Lemmon, and coasted through the iconic landscape of Saguaro National Park. It was a journey to remember!
But the ride was about more than just the miles. Along the way, we made meaningful stops that deepened our connection to the communities we serve. We planted young trees at Cottonwood Lane in Fort Lowell Park and dedicated a Desert Wash Willow at Clara Ferrin Bloom Elementary School, where the energy and enthusiasm of the students made the moment unforgettable. Our friends from the TreeCircus brought the joy, delivering tree education and inspiration at every stop.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 to support science-based research and educational programs for WCISA members – including arborists, tree-care professionals, and tree enthusiasts across the West.
We are not done yet! We’re on the path, but we still need your help to reach the finish line. Your donation of any amount will fuel our important work. Support one of our incredible cyclists and help us grow our impact and a greener future – one mile and one tree at a time.
Let’s keep the momentum going!

Here is what past cyclists have said about The Britton Fund Ride:
- It was incredibly fun! Great group of people, very easy going, good food, we raised so much money – very successful and rewarding experience.
- Lots of great people I would probably not have had a chance to get to know otherwise. Beautiful setting. Wonderful support from SAG. The choice of length of ride was really important to many people I spoke to.
- You’re riding for a great cause and it was inspiring to me all the donations I received from residents who wanted to support tree research.
- A complicated way of having fun and feeling good about the world. Camaraderie is HUGE. Personal challenge is a driving, but daunting, force. I guarantee participating in The Britton Fund Ride will be a personal uplifting, invigorating experience for YOU!
